For those of you I haven’t met yet, I’m Kim DiMaggio, Pookie’s Mom #55 (center) and I am excited to be your Social Cat for this football season! Looking forward to meeting many of you! Go Cats – Team 83!
Each week I will send out an email with some updates for the week from Coach Riley and end our emails with our local meet up spot prior to the big game for the week and I hope you will all join us and spread the word to friends and family to swing by as well. We have a lot of great support from local establishments and this is our way of giving back to them for their support! Let’s kick off this season with a bang, so without further ado….
Welcome to Week 1 of the regular season!
The first week is a Non-Conference Game vs Sun Prairie East.
- JV is HOME (VAHS Turf Field)with kickoff set for 4:15pm on Thursday, August 21
- Varsity is HOME (VAHS Turf Field) with kickoff set for 7:00pm (or roughly 60 minutes after the JV contest, whichever is later) on Thursday, August 21

- Thursday, August 21
- V/JV Team Breakfast at Paddy Mac’s from 9-10am
- JV players should report to the Team Room by 3:15pm
- Varsity players should report to the Team Room by 5:40pm

So lastly, but most fun, the Parent/SuperFan Meetup! Even though we don’t get our first week with some Friday Night Lights, we’ll have to make due with some Thursday Night Lights! Our SuperFan meetup this week will be at 5TH QUARTER!!!! Grab your orange and black and we will kickoff there around 4:30-5:00 PM or whenever you can get there! Please swing by and join us for some food and beverages and let’s get this season started!!! Rumor has it they will be hosting a meat raffle Thursday night starting at 4:00, so if you have a hungry Wildcat player at home like me, you might win some meat too! If you can’t make it we’ll see you in the stands for kickoff around 7:00 PM!!!
