Hello Wildcat Families!
Just a reminder about our Parent Night tomorrow night. All are invited to watch the second half of our practices. The stadium will be open for you to enjoy the JV/V practice from 6-8pm and you are invited to bring chairs to watch the freshmen from 6-8pm. There will be 2 dinner food trucks (El Alegro / Chic-Fil-A) and a dessert truck!
On Monday, August 11, we will have our Parent/Player meetings starting with the Freshmen families at 6:30pm and following with the Sophomore-Senior families at 7:30pm. This will take place in the VAHS Performing Arts Center, so please enter Door 10 and part in the lot in the picture below. That night we will also be asking for volunteers to help at Freshmen (JV2) and JV1 games this year (chains, scoreboard, etc). If we do not fill these roles, families will need to be assigned. Additionally, this is the night where we will collect Touchdown Club (Booster Club) dues. The amount for the Touchdown Club dues are $150 and a price breakdown can be viewed HERE. These fees are payable by cash, check (to VAHS Football), or via online payment using our Square reader at the meeting. Please note that these fees have been $150 since I joined the staff in 2014 (they haven’t been raised in 12 seasons). Free/reduced lunch families do not need to pay Touchdown Club dues. Families may sponsor other athletes by donating an additional $20-$150.
Lastly, please have your student-athletes continue to sell Gold Cards! Have them bring any money they have to Coach Knecht. We are handing in all our money on Monday, August 11, but kids can still sell.
